As the CTO at ID.me, Tanel guides the overall technical direction of the organization, architects and develops new platform features to further the company’s position as a leader in digital identity.

From 2014 to 2017, Sydney served as the Information Security Officer with accountability for Line of Business Information Security Officers, providing information security consultancy, risk management and remediation support across Capital One’s lines of business. She has recently assumed a new position leading up Cyber GRC and Framework and is responsible for institutionalizing a cyber distributed shared risk management framework to support cyber risk decisions on policies, investments, capabilities, and operations.
Sydney joined Capital One in 1999 and has held a variety of roles within Information Security during that time. She has been instrumental in the build of many key programs including Third Party Management Security Oversight, Application Security, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Compliance, and Business Information Security.
